Maryann Aita is a writer and performer in Brooklyn, New York. Her writing has appeared in PANK, The Porter House Review, The Exposition Review, Big Muddy, Drunk Monkeys, Crack the Spine, and other journals. Her original teleplay, The Matchbreaker, won the Best Comedy Pilot at the 2016 Broad Humor Film Festival and was a second round selection at the 2016 Austin Film Festival.
She performs her work around New York City, including a one-woman show at The PIT and NoHo Sound.
Maryann has a BA from New York University and an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. She lives in Williamsburg with her cats, Gus and Ellie.
She is seeking representation for her writing and comedy as well as publication for her experimental nonfiction manuscript, Little Astronaut.
