Maryann Aita is a writer and performer in Brooklyn, New York. Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in [PANK], The Porter House Review, Drunk Monkeys, The Exposition Review, and Crack the Spine, among other journals. Her original teleplay, The Matchbreaker, won the Best Comedy Pilot at the 2016 Broad Humor Film Festival and was a second round selection at the 2016 Austin Film Festival.

She performs her work around New York City and her one-woman show, My Dysfunctional Vagina, has run at The PIT and NoHo Sound.

Maryann has a BA from New York University and an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. She lives in Williamsburg with her cat, Gus.

She is seeking representation for her writing and comedy as well as publication for her experimental nonfiction manuscript, Little Astronaut.
